Scope of Use

By submitting this form, I (the Participant) authorise Illumin8 Productions to use artificial intelligence (AI) voice replacement technology as part of the post-production process for the project named below.

This authorisation applies only to the named project and may include:

  • Re-voicing of unclear, mumbled, or truncated lines.
  • Combining, abridging, or paraphrasing sections of my speech to improve flow or clarify intent, while maintaining my natural tone and character.
  • Adjustments to pacing, inflection, or grammar where needed.
  • Voice synthesis used under B-roll footage only, not as a substitute for my visible, on-camera presence unless separately authorised below.

All editorial changes will be made in alignment with my original message and delivery style, and reviewed under ethical and professional standards.

Technology & Data Handling

Platform used: This process uses the DaVinci Resolve Studio AI Voice Replacement feature, which runs entirely on local hardware. This means:

  • No voice recordings or training data are uploaded, transmitted, or stored outside of the local editing system.
  • No third-party cloud service is involved in the voice synthesis process.
  • The AI model operates on-device only, within the Producer's editing workstation.

Retention & Ownership

  • The AI-generated audio is used only within the scope of the authorised project.
  • My original and synthetic voice assets will not be reused or redistributed for any other purpose.
  • All voice data remains the property of the original speaker.

Right to Review

Where feasible, I will be given the opportunity to preview any AI-generated voice segments used in the project and request reasonable edits if required.

Revocation

This authorisation may be revoked at any time prior to public release of the final deliverable by submitting a signed written notice to Illumin8 Productions. Once the deliverable has been publicly released, revocation may not be practical, and the parties agree to discuss any concerns in good faith.

Australian Privacy Acknowledgement

I acknowledge that the collection and use of my voice recording is conducted in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). I have been informed of:

  • The purpose for which my voice data is being used (AI-assisted post-production for the named project).
  • That all processing occurs locally and no data is transmitted to third parties.
  • My right to access and request correction of personal information held by Illumin8 Productions.

Declaration

I confirm that I am over 18 years of age (or have parental/guardian consent attached), and give this consent freely, voluntarily, and without coercion.

Electronic Consent & Execution Notice 

By completing and submitting this form, I acknowledge and agree that:  This electronic submission has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature pursuant to the Electronic Transactions Act 1999 (Cth) and the Electronic Transactions (Queensland) Act 2001. I consent to executing this document electronically rather than in wet ink. I confirm that the information provided is true and correct, and that I am the person identified in this submission (or am authorised to act on their behalf). I understand that my submission is logged with a timestamp and IP address, which together form the evidentiary record of my consent.

Illumin8 Productions collects the personal information in this form solely for the purpose stated above. It will not be disclosed to third parties except where required to fulfil the stated purpose or as required by law. You may request access to or correction of your information by contacting .
